Andy Lee is a full time, multi award winning, plein air and studio painter, based in Hertfordshire, he uses oil and watercolour equally, and finds all subjects interesting, it’s often it’s the light, the subject, or the narrative that inspires the decision to paint, he also teaches workshops at various locations throughout the UK each year, and runs regular weekly classes.
He was elected to full membership of the Wapping Group during lockdown in 2020, and has exhibited at the Mall Galleries regularly with the wapping Group, the royal Institute of Painters in Watercolour (winning the James Fletcher Watson Award in 2021), the Royal Society of Marine Artists, Patchings open, and Hertford Art Society open exhibition (winning best Watercolour in show in 2018).
